Simple Seared Salmon
Ingredients:
12oz wild caught salmon filet
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried dill (or other herb of choice)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Method:
Lay salmon filets on cutting board, pat dry, and drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil
Then season with salt, garlic and onion powder, and dill
Heat large pan on low-med heat, allow to heat through, then add 2 tbsp of olive oil to pan
Once fully heated through place salmon filets flesh side down (oil should immediately sizzle) and depending on thickness cook for 6-8 min.
* (When it’s time to flip, salmon should easily lift from pan. If not, let cook for another minute or two.
Then flip filet and cook for another 2-4 minutes depending on thickness or until internal temp reaches about 135F.
Remove from pan and squeeze with lemon juice
Let cool and enjoy!
